The book signing event went well on Sunday, with on small hitch. We’re learning as we go. So, the next time out we will be prepared for everything from jumper cables to duct tape! We made some sales (YAA), and brought a few books back home. I appreciate everyone that stopped by to support us. I really feel that anyone that picks up one of our children’s books will be hooked. It will take you back to some place in your own childhood.
Thanks for the support!

Heroes Live Forever
by Chris Karlsen
Elinor Hawthorne has inherited a house haunted by the ghosts of two medieval knights, Basil Manneville and Guy Guiscard. Basil is the man of her dreams, her knight in shining armor. She falls in love with him and he with her. Basil soon realizes she needs to live a normal life, a happy life with a mortal.
A lifetime later fate intervenes. Basil, still in love with Elinor, is told her spirit lives on in a young woman and he is given another chance at life to find her.
He turned her around and untied the laces of her dress. His fingers lingered at each sliver of exposed skin the open laces left. The gown fell away from her shoulders and rough palms eased the sleeves down, freeing the arms. He inched the dress over hips, unwrapping her like a gift, the silk pillowing at her feet like a bronze cloud.
My Buddy Boy turns 6 today! Seems like just yesterday he looked like a little monkey, and now, he looks like a bigger monkey. Just kidding.
Happy BDay Buddy Boy!
YaYa the Tortuga loves you very much!
I had a great time with the interview. It was informative, and I felt very comfortable, even though I thought for sure I’d be blown out of my flip flops! Anywho — where’s what it sounds like!
My man built me a cornhole game, that I’d been driving him nuts to build. As was only fitting for me — it’s a Carolina cornhole game. And, the bean bags are garnet and black!
